Get Involved - Events & Challenges - Running

Whether you are a novice or an experienced runner, we have a range of running events which will help you put your best foot forward and raise money for the Hospice. When you sign up to run for St Clare, you will be sent a running t-shirt, sponsor forms and plenty of training and fundraising advice. Adidas Silverstone half marathon
Sunday 11th March 2012
Online entry for the Silverstone half marathon is now closed. If you have your own place and would like to run for the hospice, please do get in touch and we will send you a free running t-shirt or vest and sponsor forms.

 

 

 

St Clare Hospice 10k run

Virgin London Marathon
Sunday 22nd April 2012
We have now allocated all of our Gold Bond places. If you have received a ballot place, we would love to see you join the St Clare Hospice Marathon team. We have a joint fundraising target of raising £22,000 which could pay for 6 patients to stay in our Inpatient Unit for a whole week. Read more and sponsor our team on our JustGiving page. You will receive lots of fundraising support, a hospice vest and t-shirt as well as invitations to attend our training sessions.

 

Bupa London 10,000
Sunday 27th May 2012
Public entry is now closed. The only way to take part is to obtain a charity place and St Clare Hospice is delighted to say that we have some! If you want to take part in this fantastic 10k run around London passing many of London’s famous sights, including Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Nelson's Column, then please get in touch. We ask that you pay £20 registration then pledge to raise £200 for the hospice. More information about the run can be found on their website.

 

Great North Run
Sunday 16th September 2012
The public ballot for the famous 13.1 mile run around Newcastle is open until Monday 6th February. If you are interested in taking part, please visit their website and apply for the ballot. We would love to have you run for St Clare Hospice!

 

Royal Parks Half Marathon
Sunday 7th October 2012
The public ballot for the 2012 run is now open! Apply as soon as possible on their website for this picturesque 13.1 mile round London’s famous parks. The hospice does have some Gold Bond entries into the race so once the ballot has closed, we will begin allocating them.
