Regular supporters of St Clare will know we can claim an additional 25% from the government if donors who are taxpayers sign a Gift Aid declaration, but did you know that we can claim Gift Aid on donated goods sold through our shops?
If you donate goods to our shops and you pay tax just download and complete this simple form take it with you next time you take goods into one of our shops and our shop team will do the rest.
It doesn’t matter if your donation is a sofa, a designer dress, or a book so long as you are a tax payer you can sign a declaration. Once we have your declaration on file you will receive your own donor ID card so you don’t have to fill out a form every time you donate.
If Gift Aided, a paperback book sold for £1.00 will raise an additional 25p, a sofa sold for £100, will raise a further £25 at no extra cost to the donor or the customer.
If just 20% of St Clare donors are able to participate we could raise as much as £40,000pa. This could cover the running costs of an inpatient room for 10 weeks. During that time as many as 10 patients and their families would benefit from the high standard of care and comfort we commit to providing our patients.
.
All of our shops welcome donations
of good quality, clean clothes, accessories, books, bric-a-brac and general household items
We have seven shops,
in Buckhurst Hill, Debden, Epping, Great Dunmow, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Saffron Walden sell a range of good quality donated goods and selected new gift lines.
