St Clare Hospice Bungee Jump

These are the last words you will hear before launching yourself from a platform and plummeting rapidly towards the ground! Once you have jumped a euphoric sense of achievement fills your body with the knowledge that you have jumped with nothing more than a bit of elastic attached to your ankles, but more important than your survival, you have raised vital funds for St Clare.

 

Events Fundraiser Tracy Stratford took part in last year’s bungee jump and said “going up in the crane knowing that you are about to throw yourself off from the top is a slightly terrifying experience! But when you reach the top, you stand at the edge and the crew shout “3…2…1…BUNGEE” and off you go. The falling is such an amazing feeling and there wasn’t a sharp jolt when you reach the bottom. I was screaming, I was laughing, it was a fantastic experience, made all the better knowing that it was raising money for the Hospice too.”

 

The bungee jump will take place at the Old Bell Hotel in Stansted Mountfitchet on Saturday 12th March. You will be able to pick your preferred hour jump slot between 12noon and 4pm on a first come, first served basis.

You must be aged 14 years or above to take part on the day and those aged 50 years or above will need to bring along a doctor’s certificate to confirm you are well and fit.

 

Registration costs £20 and we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for the Hospice.
