Ebay Team Leader –supporting the St Clare online shop

Why do we need you?
St Clare Hospice shops rely on the generosity of the general public to donate goods for us to sell.  As some of the items donated would get a higher sale price if advertised on the internet we are setting up an online shop.  We are looking for an E Bay Team Leader to manager the EBay and Amazon accounts and you will be supported by a team of volunteers who will collate, pack and dispatch the goods from a bespoke office in Hastingwood.

You will work under the guidance of the Retail Sales Officer, initially setting up the Ebay account and all the processes from listing to delivery and stock management plus recruiting your own team of volunteers.

  • Photographing and listing items

  • Setting up the processes from listing to dispatching the items

  • Managing returns and refunds

  • Managing stock inventory

  • Training and supporting other volunteers to use the systems you have set up

Who will you be working with?
You will work alongside other volunteers at the St Clare Hospice retail office in Hastingwood.  Suitable stock from the shops will be delivered direct to this office so there will be the opportunity to meet other volunteers, as well as retail staff who will support you in your volunteer role by providing information, advice and help to develop your skills.

What skills, experience and personal qualities will you need?
Experience of setting up own Ebay account will be beneficial however support and training will be given to someone who is IT proficient.
Experience in working within a warehouse/distribution centre or packing centre.
You will need to be able to work independently plus be able to hand over the work load at the end of your shift to ensure that any sold items are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
We are looking for confident, friendly, reliable, hard working, adaptable people who are willing to learn and happy to work as part of a team.
How much time will it take?
Ideally a minimum commitment of 7 hour shift however this will be flexible for right person, with the flexibility to work additional 4 hour shifts.

Why volunteer for St Clare Hospice?

  • You will meet new people

  • This is an ideal opportunity to develop your online experience and skills helping you get back on the job ladder, or make good use of your time after retirement

Volunteer drivers needed

At St Clare Hospice, Volunteer Driver’s provide a vital service to patients and carers, who have no other means of transportation and would otherwise not be able to access the specialist service that we offer to our patients.

For some patients being able to attend Day Therapy is a life line for them and for relatives , Volunteer Drivers allow them to visit their loved ones whilst they are an In Patient at the Hospice.
